Nancy resigned on Nov. 2. Today is Nov. 7. The by laws state the election must take palce within 90 days. If we take nominations for two weeks (for example), allow a two week period for campaign stuff, then allow 2 weeks for voting that is a total of 6 weeks for the process. If folks are worried about setting a date, although I see no problem with it personally, why can the message just be worded with "in the allotted time period set by the bylaws." Also, I don't see the reason to post to the -ALL list any announcement. Post it to the SC list -- I am still curious as to which SC's bother about passing on important information. Someone will post it to the ALL list I am certain of it anyways. Our only obligation is to post it to the SC list for dispersal. As far as it goes.. we could probably start taking nominations next week.. The BIGGEST thing will be getting the voting lists.. and that will take a while.. believe me.. After we get them.. either provided by the SCs or (in many cases) going to the county pages and taking the names and emails off of them... we must then eliminate the duplicates .... ect.. This takes time..
